How to Setup Facebook Recurring Notifications

Summary

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Sales Channels
  3. Customize Facebook Messenger
  4. Choose Facebook Page
  5. Click Continue button
  6. Activate Marketing Messages
  7. Update the Setup Template form
  8. Complete the Opt-In Setup 
  9. Click the Save button
  10. Test the message
  11. Go to the Marketing Messages tab
  12. Quick Send an instant notification
Note: The current version of this feature can only support the manual and instant sending of marketing messages. Future enhancements include the frequency of messages to be sent out daily, weekly, and monthly.

Merchants can now use Prosperna to send instant and recurring messages to customers inside of Facebook Messenger. Similar to how some other marketplace platforms have automated promotional messaging, Prosperna merchants can send outbound messages to their customers whenever there is an announcement or a new promotion.

Steps to Setup Facebook Recurring Notifications

1. Go to Settings

2. Select Sales Channels

3. Customize Facebook Messenger

Before merchants can customize, their Facebook shop must be connected and set up first.

4. On the dropdown list, choose Facebook Page.

5. Click Continue button

6. Activate Marketing Messages

Toggle the button to switch on the feature.

7. Update the Setup Template form

Click on Marketing Messages Button to view the settings.

8. Complete the Opt-In Setup 

Add an image like a logo or a product photo. Include a topic of notifications, the button name, and the thank you message for customers who opt-in.


 9. Click the Save button


10. Test the message

When a new customer or existing Facebook user messages the merchant, they'll receive a prompt to accept permissions to allow notifications or marketing messages about their store.

11. Go to the Marketing Messages tab

On this tab, merchants can set the frequency and see the list of notifications they are currently sending customers.


12. Send an instant notification

Click on the Create Message button.
On the pop-up, merchants can create a message that will automatically be distributed to customers inside Facebook Messenger who opted in for messages.

Click on send to distribute your message.
If a link is shared, customers can click on it and be redirected to the merchant's Prosperna store or specified product page.
