Summary
Overview: The Content Calendar is a monthly planner for your marketing. You add an entry on a date with a topic, a channel (such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Email or Blog), a format and a short description. You can then move entries around as your plans change. It's for planning only: it doesn't post or send anything for you.
Prerequisites:
- A store on the Launch, Grow, Scale or Premium Trial plan.
- Store owner access, or a team member with Blogs access.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the calendar
- In the sidebar, click Marketing, then Calendar.
- The Content Calendar shows the current month. Use the arrows to go to the previous or next month, and today to come back to this month.
Step 2: Add an entry
Click a date. The Calendar entry window opens.
Fill in:
Field Notes Date The date you clicked. You can change it here Topic Required, for example "Weekend sale teaser" Channel Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, Email or Blog Format Reel, Carousel, Story, Post, Email, Blog post or Short Audience Who it's for, for example "New customers" Description Notes about the content, such as the idea and call to action Click Save. The entry appears on the date with the channel's icon and the topic. Hover over it to see all its details.
Save stays greyed out until the entry has a Date and a Topic.
Step 3: Edit, move or delete entries
- Edit: click an entry, change the details, and click Save.
- Move: drag the entry to another date in the same month.
- Delete: click the entry, then click Delete.
If a day has more than 3 entries, click the "more" link on that day (for example +2 more) to see them all.
Step 4: Save the calendar
Your changes are not stored until you save them.
- Click Save calendar at the top right. The button shows Saving… while it saves.
- Do this for each month you change. Save calendar saves only the month you're looking at.
Step 5: Preview an email entry
Some entries have an email attached, for example an email draft saved from Max AI with Save to Calendar. Click the entry, then click Preview email ▾ to see the email with your store's branding. Click Hide email preview ▴ to close it.
Verify It Worked
Success criteria:
- After you click Save calendar and reload the page, your entries are still on their dates.
- Going back to a month you saved shows its entries.
Troubleshooting
Common errors
- My entries disappeared after I left the page: they weren't saved. Add them again and click Save calendar before leaving.
- I saved, but another month's entries are gone: Save calendar only saves the month on screen. Go to each month you changed and click Save calendar there.
- I can't click Save in the Calendar entry window: enter a Topic.
- Save calendar is greyed out: wait for the calendar to finish loading, then try again.
Limitations & considerations
- The calendar is a planning tool. It doesn't publish posts, send emails or post to social media.
- No message appears after Save calendar finishes. Reload the page to check your entries were saved.
- Moving an entry into a different month by dragging it can lose it, because each month is saved separately. To move an entry to another month, delete it, go to the new month, add it there, and click Save calendar in both months.
- There is one calendar for your whole store. Anyone with access sees and edits the same entries.
