Summary

Overview: The Payment Settings page is where you choose how customers pay you online. Under Prosperna Payments you see a card for each payment option your store can use. Philippine (PH) stores and United States (US) stores see different options. Open any card to connect it, check its status, or turn it off.

Prerequisites:

  • A Launch, Grow or Scale plan, or an active Premium Trial. Stores on the Free plan can't open this page.
  • Access to Payments. Store owners always have it. Team members need Billing access in their user permissions.
  • To accept orders at all, checkout must be turned on for your store. See How to Turn On Checkout for Your Store.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open Payment Settings

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings.
  2. Click Payments.

The Payment Settings page opens. The Prosperna Payments section lists your payment options as cards. Each card shows:

  • the payment option's name and logo
  • a short description
  • a status label at the top right
  • a Manage button

Step 2: See which payment options your store has

The list depends on your store's country.

Philippine stores see:

Card What it does
Xendit Prosperna sets up a Xendit account for your business. Customers pay by card, e-wallet or over the counter. See How to Activate Prosperna Payments.
Xendit — Your Own Account Connect a Xendit account you already own, using your API key. See How to Connect Your Own Xendit Account.
Manual Payment Methods Customers pay you directly by e-wallet, bank transfer or your own custom method, and upload proof of payment for you to check. Previously called Direct Transfer. See How to Set Up Manual Payment Methods.
Pay by Invoice Customers place the order now, and you email them a payment link later. See How to Set Up Pay by Invoice.
PayMongo Shows Coming Soon. You can't open it yet.

US stores see:

Card What it does
Stripe Connect your Stripe account so customers can pay by credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. See How to Activate Prosperna Payments.
PayPal Shows Coming Soon. You can't open it yet.
Manual Payment Methods Customers pay you directly into your own accounts and upload proof of payment for you to check. See How to Set Up Manual Payment Methods.
Pay by Invoice Customers place the order now, and you email them a payment link later. See How to Set Up Pay by Invoice.

Step 3: Read the status labels

Each card shows one of these labels:

Label Meaning
Connected The payment option is set up and on.
Not Connected It isn't set up yet, or you turned it off.
Pending Setup has started but isn't finished yet. For Xendit, you still need to finish the steps Xendit emailed you.
Needs Attention The provider needs something from you before payments work normally.
Suspended The provider has suspended the account.
Coming Soon This option isn't available yet. Its Manage button is greyed out.

Step 4: Set up or change a payment option

  1. On the card, click Manage.
  2. Follow the steps on that option's page:
  3. To go back to the list, click Back to Payment Settings at the top of the page.

Step 5: Turn a payment option off

The Payment Settings page has no single on/off switch for each option. You turn an option off from its own page:

  • Xendit or Stripe: click Manage, then click Disconnect Xendit account or Disconnect Stripe account (or turn off the switch at the top right). Confirm with Disconnect. Your Xendit or Stripe account itself is not deleted.
  • For the other options, see their own articles.

Step 6: Check which payment methods each shipping method allows

Cash payments and some online payments are chosen for each shipping method, not on the Payment Settings page.

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings, then Shipping.
  2. In a shipping method's settings, find Payment Option ("Choose at least one").
  3. Tick the methods customers can use with that shipping method, then save.

What you can tick:

  • PH stores: Bank Transfer, Cash on Delivery and Cash on Pickup. Stores that still use myPay and haven't connected Xendit also see Credit Card, E-Wallets and Over The Counter. Once your Xendit card is Connected, these three are hidden because your Xendit account decides which online channels customers see.
  • US stores: Cash on Delivery and Cash on Pickup. Card payments go through Stripe.

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

  • The card you set up shows Connected on the Payment Settings page.
  • On your online store's checkout page, under Payment, customers see the matching option. For example Pay via Xendit (PH), Pay with Stripe (US), Manual Payments, Pay by Invoice, Cash on Delivery or Cash on Pickup.

Troubleshooting

Common errors

  • "No payment gateways available": the list didn't load. Refresh the page. If it keeps happening, contact support.
  • The Manage button is greyed out: the card shows Coming Soon. That payment option isn't available yet.
  • A "page not found" screen opens instead of Payment Settings: your user account doesn't have Billing access. Ask the store owner to give it to you.
  • You're taken to the suspended account screen instead: your store is on the Free plan. Choose a paid plan first. See How to Choose a Prosperna Plan.
  • At checkout, customers see "Select a shipping method to view available payment methods.": this is normal. Payment options appear after the customer picks a shipping method.
  • At checkout, customers see "No Payment method available": no payment method is allowed for the shipping method they chose. Connect a payment option in Payment Settings, or tick at least one Payment Option for that shipping method in Settings → Shipping.

Limitations & considerations

  • PH and US stores get different payment options. The list follows your store's country, and you can't add options from the other country.
  • Card, e-wallet and over-the-counter payments in the Philippines go through Xendit. They don't appear on the Payment Settings page as separate cards.
  • Cash on Delivery, Cash on Pickup and Bank Transfer don't need a connected payment provider. You turn them on per shipping method.
  • Free plan stores can't open Payment Settings.
